Victoria Griffin…was born in March of 1972 to a Finnish mother and an American father. She was raised among the mountains of the southeastern United States and spent many childhood summers and holidays with her mother’s family in Finland.

Mainly a self-taught artist, Victoria embarked upon her creative explorations at a very early age (occasionally to be spotted scribbling on walls hidden behind doors). Tales of fantasy and folklore fueled her life-long facination with the paranormal and metaphysical realm. The creatures of Faerie soon became her Muses. The main focus of her art has been to offer others a glimpse beyond the Veil and into their world. She works primarily with ink and watercolors to create her images. Her artwork appeared on the covers of “Aquarius: A Sign of The Times” and “The Circle of Stones Journal”, as well as in the books 500 Fairy Motifs, Visions of Atlantis and Art of the Business of Fantasy Art.

Aside from her art, Victoria is also a photographer, published poet and former radio disc-jockey. In her free time, she enjoys cooking, reading, beachcombing, music, collecting tarot decks and jesters, star gazing and blogging. She currently lives in Oconee County

Angel Falls (indigenous name: Parakupa-vena or Kerepakupai merú which means the fall from the highest point, in Pemon language; Spanish: Salto Ángel) is the world’s highest waterfall, with a height of 979m (3,212ft) and a clear drop of 807m (2,647ft). It is located in the Canaima National Park (Spanish: Parque Nacional Canaima) , in the Gran Sabana region of Bolivar State, Venezuela.

The height of the falls is so great that before getting anywhere near the ground, the water is atomized by the strong winds and turned into mist. The mist can be felt a mile away. The base of the falls feeds into the Kerep River (alternately known as the Rio Gauya) which flows into the Churun River, a tributary of the Carrao River. Named after Jimmy Angel who discovered it when he flew past in 1933 and crash landed in 1937 on the top.

Nestling there are rare and wonderful insects, amphibious creatures and birds that rest as they migrate north or south depending of the time of year.
